- Welcome to DiskCat!
-
-
- DiskCat was developed out of frustration. There have been many times that
- I have needed a utility, or seen what I thought was a great new game or
- application offered on a bulletin board or other source. I would blindly
- download it or order the disk, only to find out at a later time that I
- already had the program on a disk filed away. Something had to be done!
-
- DiskCat has solved that problem. The program reads all files on a diskette,
- including all sub-directories. The user can manually add, edit or delete
- files as well as add descriptions to existing files. It is also possible
- to categorize files in such a way as to retrieve file listings by category.
-
- The system will also print diskette labels showing the owner's name, disk
- number and volume name. Each label can print up to 45 file names and a
- second label will be printed if necessary with an additional 45 file names
- (A total of 90 file names per disk).
-
- There are several search routines, allowing the user to search the catalog
- by filename, extension, disk number, volume name and category. Printed
- reports are also available offering similar output.
-
- To print documentation(18 pages), type DOC.BAT
-
- or use the DOS commands:
-
- TYPE DISKCAT.DOC > PRN or
- PRINT DISKCAT.DOC.
-
- To start the program type DISKCAT.
-
- HAPPY CATALOGING!!
